Features of The Falls Teahouse
In the rolling hills overlooking the peaceful country township of Millaa Millaa is the Falls Teahouse.
This beautiful home was built by the Daley family in 1928 with a mix of Queenslander practicality, and Federation style makes the perfect home away from home in the high altitude
climate of the Atherton Tablelands.
The property has been restored and enhanced to make a Teahouse with B&B guest accommodation.
The original home features a large indoor dining area (with seating for 40) with wood fireplace (the preferred spot with guests during winter), dining on the verandah,
three guest rooms (one with ensuite) and a private sitting room for overnighting quests. The guest accommodation is serviced by a spacious bathroom with a claw-footed tub – popular with all guests. Families can be accommodated.
The walks to the neighbouring farms and the nearby waterfall are highlights with the children.
The home has timber features throughout with polished floors of various rainforest timbers and walls of silky oak. The feeling in the home is one of history and country hospitality
and guests always comment on this after a visit. The sensuous Southern Tableland – green rolling hills, waterfalls, crater lakes and misty morning walks.
